THE SERVICES WE OFFER

A heart for medical translations

BECAUSE WORDS MATTER

Translation

We obviously ensure the meticulous translation of your documents for clinical research in the languages you require, and in accordance with the applicable regulations.

Revision

All translations are reviewed by a second translator. The revisor carefully checks that no mistakes have inadvertently slipped into the translation.

Implementation of changes

A certain version of a document may need to be regularly updated. We accurately insert the changes made in the translation.

Back-translations

We can also convert translations back to the original language to ensure that everything has been correctly conveyed.

Voice-over

We can also assist you with spoken texts. We have our own equipment or can make use of a studio (draft or processed recordings).

Transcription

Transcription involves an audio fragment being converted to text, whereby the pronunciation and/or filler words and suchlike are used or otherwise.

Harmonisation

Harmonisation is applied in certain fields. Two translators translate the same text, after which the best of both translations is combined to form a new version. This can be important, for example, with questionnaires whereby correct interpretation is of utmost importance.

Subtitles

Animations are sometimes used to further clarify clinical research. Subtitling has different requirements to ordinary text, the length of the sentences being one example. It is also very important that the text on the screen corresponds to the spoken text.

Localisation

Dutch for Belgium and Dutch for the Netherlands may appear very similar, but there are subtle differences and nuances. Certain terms may have a different meaning in either country, so localisation offers the solution. The same is true for French for France and French for Belgium, or for British and American English, for example.

Testing apps

Electronic implementation/migration

In clinical research an app can be used so patients do not always have to visit the research centre for certain examinations and/or for them to fill in questionnaires, for example. We can test these apps for you to identify any bugs before patients use them.

In our ever-increasingly digital world, paper forms are often being replaced by digital ones. These documents are then linguistically adapted for use on smartphones and/or tablets.

This is mostly applicable in case of electronic implementation/migration. The adapted screenshots in the source language are compared with the screenshots in the target language for word use and layout.

Drawing up glossaries

Glossaries can be of great use when certain terms are often repeated in the texts. You then know for sure that the correct terminology is always used.

Linguistic validation consultancy

Linguistic validation entails the quality of the text being assessed in order to ensure that it is clear, understandable and culturally relevant.
